A Few Tips to Help Sell Your Home

Tidy up the Landscape

First thing home buyers notice as they drive up to your house in the landscape. How does the lawn look? Are there any plants or flowerbed? How do the trees look?
You don't have to get crazy with your landscape or even spend a ton of money on it. Just clean up the space and make things look neat an alive! Keep your lawn mowed, trim the edges of your lawn and trim the bushes. Maybe purchase some mulch to put in your flower beds or around the trees.

Make the first impression count!

Create a Clutter Free Environment

If you want to maximize the perceived value of your home make it clutter free. Go through everything in each room, garage or barn and clear out the non-essential items, rent a storage unit if necessary.
Do not just cram stuff in closets as people like to explore how roomy a house is before they make the big purchase.

Paint

If your home looks dark or if the walls look dirty or faded, paint! This is an inexpensive way to make your home look great and increase it's value. By painting with more contemporary brighter colors it could make your space look larger and more modern.

Remember selling your home is not about personal preferences but appealing to the masses. Stick with off white and light creamy colors for maximum benefit.

Make your Kitchen Appealing

Buyers are very focused on kitchens, which is why you want to make sure yours is reasonably appealing. Counter-tops from the 70's may need to be updated, and you might want to install a new appliance or two if the existing ones are in really bad shape.

Put up a For Sale Sign

By putting up a for sale sign in your yard it can help potential buyers find you easier. Or even a passer by who was not thinking of buying but have always said to themselves if that certain home comes on the market they would be interested, that home could be yours!
