Spring Cleaning Tips and Tricks

Spring Cleaning Tips and Tricks.
Soon it will be time to give the house a deep clean. Here some deep cleaning tips from Tanguay Homes to get things spotless and keep them that way.

Clean Out Your Dryer Vent

Are your clothes taking a little longer than usual to dry? Clean out your drier vent. Not the lint trap, but the vent from the dryer to the outside of your house. The bits of lint that pass through the trap can cause it to become plugged extending your drying time.

Wipe Out Your Window Tracks

Use a solution of 50/50 vinegar and water to wipe down the tracks and windowsills to keep them spotless and in good working order. Buildup over time can cause your windows to stick.

Dust the Vents

Use a butter knife wrapped in an old towel to get those tight spaces in your vents. This also works well to clean your blinds.

Make Your Bed Daily

This simple task will instantly make your room look cleaner. It’s proven to increase productivity, reduce stress levels, and help you stay more organized.

Deep Clean Your Microwave and Dishwasher

Fill a microwave-safe bowl with 1 cup white vinegar and 1 cup water and microwave on high for 5 minutes. The steam will loosen those stubborn food splatters easily. Once the solution cools remove it from the microwave and dump it into the bottom of your dishwasher to stop the annoying white buildup on your dishes. It helps break down hard water deposits while disinfecting.

Organize those drawers

Use shoe box and other lids to create compartments in your junk drawer to easily organize and declutter all of the random objects
