5 Things to Do to Get Your Garden Ready for Spring

Spring is right around the corner! Get ahead of the game with these tips to be ready for a successful spring garden.

1. Nip Weeds in the Bud

As the ground begins to defrost, it's the perfect time to pull out any winter weeds that may have intruded your garden.

2. Check Your Trees and Shrubs for Damage

Strong winter storms can wear on your plants. Be sure to remove any broken or damaged branches from your trees and shrubs.

3. Rake Out Dead Leaves

When cleaning out your garden for the spring, it's important to rake out any dead leaves that may be stuck in your garden bed. These leaves will keep sunlight from getting to your plants, preventing them to grow.
