2020 Color Design Trends

Are you thinking of a remodel in 2020? The new color trends are bold and earthy adding vibrancy to your home. These rich colors are dominating the design world. Warm golds and oranges pair beautifully with deep blues, greens, and purples. Clean whites have carried over and black statements are making a comeback.

Here are some easy ways to incorporate these trends into your newly remodeled home:

Green is a safe bet for all decor. Whether you choose to accent with plants in the windows or go big with a beautiful deep green sofa you won’t be disappointed. This color brings an air of nature into your home making it more welcoming and relaxing

Many shades of pink allow for beautiful pairings with deep plums, browns and vibrant yellows. When used as throw pillows, vases, or even with painted walls it will create a soft comfort in your home.

Some may find the spicy yellow a bit intimidating, it commands attention and brings life to any room. We suggest using shade like turmeric, mustard or ocher paired with neutral backgrounds like grey and deep green or blue. If you have a dark grey or blue sofa using a mustard yellow for cushions, throws, or accenting with a rug can bring warmth.

Brown shades will become popular over then next couple months. It carries the “nature” trend that has been rising steadily in popularity over the last year. Darker browns work well in larger spaces but tend to “shrink” the room in smaller ones. It also adds a feeling of classic elegance. Paired with the rich yellows that are on trend this year, rusty red browns bring warmth to the bedroom as a duvet cover or rug.

Deep blue accents will compliment all of the colors we’ve told you about so far. Classic blue has been chosen as the 2020 pantone color of the year sprinkle it everywhere.

Grey has held steady on the color charts and will stick through the year. The warmth of a combination of warm tones, from golden yellow to ocher and red brown, enhanced by black touches. The power of black, softened by pastel shades, including pink and gray, or lit with golden touches or warm yellows. In a bedroom or living room, mix the 2020 trend colors for a fashionable result.
